Nur is talented artist featured in June issue of Ink Legends Magazine. Dive into her story and insights in our exclusive interview.

To start, could you please introduce yourself and share a bit about your journey as a tattoo artist?
My name is Nur, I’m 24 years old, and I’ve been working as a tattoo artist for the past 4 years. I started my journey with a background in fine arts and graphic design, which naturally led me to the world of tattooing. I’ve always been passionate about transforming ideas into visual stories on the skin, and tattooing became the perfect medium for that expression.
What kind of tattoos can clients expect from you? How would you describe your portfolio and artistic focus?
My work is known for its clean linework and vibrant use of color. I specialize in illustrative, fine-line, and color-rich tattoos. Clients can expect unique, custom designs with a focus on storytelling, emotion, and visual balance. My portfolio includes floral pieces, animals, abstract concepts, and whimsical themes that often blend delicate lines with playful colors.

We’ve noticed some beautiful microrealism pieces in your work. Would you say this is your favorite style? And how do you manage the challenges of creating such detailed work on a small scale?
While microrealism isn’t my primary style, I love incorporating detailed elements into my designs. I find that even the smallest tattoos can carry powerful meaning when crafted carefully. Managing such detail requires precision, patience, and a deep understanding of how ink behaves on skin. My background in drawing helps me maintain that control even on a very small scale.
Tattooing is constantly evolving. How do you stay current with new techniques and continue growing as an artist?
I’m always researching, attending conventions, and learning from other artists. Social media and digital platforms also allow me to follow global trends and techniques. I regularly practice new styles
and tools to expand my skill set and push my creative boundaries.

Tattooing requires more than just talent-it’s also about professionalism and client care. What personal qualities or values do you bring to your work that help you build trust and a strong reputation with your clients?
I believe in listening carefully to my clients and making them feel comfortable and understood. Respect, empathy, and open communication are at the core of my process. I treat every project-no matter the size-with the same level of care and passion, and I always aim to create a calm, professional environment where clients feel safe and excited about their tattoo.
